Report: Putin, Lukashenko discuss start of 2021 energy talks
MINSK, Nov 5 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko have discussed the start of negotiations on oil and gas supplies to Belarus in 2021, newswire Belta reported on Wednesday, citing Lukashenko’s press service.
"The discussion also covered the start of negotiations of hydrocarbons, oil and gas supplies to Belarus next year… The heads of the states agreed to solve all issues promptly," the statement read.
Putin supported Lukashenko’s proposal to buy an oil field in Russia. The issue is to be discussed at the next meeting.
The officials also discussed transshipment of Belarusian goods in the port of Ust-Luga and military cooperation.
